A Faithful God

I just want to share a praise with everyone. This last week we found out that Garrett's hours at work were going to be cut down to 24 hours a week! This was such a scary thought for me. There was no way that we could make it on that. I knew and he knew that something had to happen. We continued to pray about it, continued paying tithe, and continued trusting God with our money.
Garrett called me from work today to tell me that Keith, our youth pastor, called him and offered him a postion at church! He would be doing maintance work such as mowing the lawn and such. It would be $8.00 an hour and at least 25 hours a week. I couldn't believe it! What a blessing! God really did provide this for us and I am so thankful! Plus, Garrett is so excited to be able to work at the church...whatever it is he is doing. I just wanted to share with everyone how faithful God really is and how it is so worth it to trust Him!

Update

So, I said that I would update everyone once I tried the peppermint foot lotion. I ended up getting the lotion on Thursday. With my employee discount I got it for only $7.00! I was happy about that. Anyways, that day I had my wonderful husband give me a foot rub with it and he did without any complaints! I was able to relax on the couch and I also was able to watch one of my favorite shows...Everybody Loves Raymond. Not my favorite, but one of. Anyways, it was very nice. The lotion works great! It is very relaxing and also gives an "energy boost" to your feet. I would reccomend it to anyone...especially if you have a good husband who will rub your feet for you! hehe.
Anyways, as everyone knows today was a gorgeous day out! I did have to work from 9:30 until 2:00, but that wasn't long at all. I was so glad that I had a short day today so that I could enjoy the warm weather! By the time we ate lunch @ 2:30, i caught up on email, picked up a little, and changed it was 4:00. So, we got a later start than I wanted to, but that is alright, we still had plenty of time outside. We went and bought a basketball of our own...I was surprised niether of us had one. We did when we lived at home...anyways, we bought a baketball and headed to the court next to Timberline. We played "Taco"...which is "Horse" but Garrett decided he liked playing "Taco" better. :) He won. Then we played around the world. He won. I was so close, though, in BOTH games! I was only one basket behind each game! Then we went for a walk on the path and by the Lakewood ponds. There were some baby geese and we sat on a bench and watched them for awhile. It was really nice. Then we headed to Sonic for dinner. I loved being able to eat outside! I just love it!
Now we are relaxing at home and then we are heading to the dollar theatre to see "The Ultimate Gift." It looks really good.
Just to let everyone know the Hallmark that I work at is having a sale on our Easter candy. It is 10 cents each and then 50 cents for a bag! I bought 10 cadbury eggs yesterday and the total only came to $1.06! (that is with out my discount...it doesn't work on sale items.) Just wanted to share the wealth...if you know what I mean...ok i am a dork and am saying goodbye now!

Mmm...Peppermint

This is what is on my wish list. We just got a new shipment of Burt's Bees at work and my manager was telling me about this foot lotion. She said she has her husband rub it on her feet at the end of a long day and it totally relaxes her and makes her feet feel better! It smells so good...so I thought, I need this! I could just imagine Garrett rubing it on my feet at the end of a long work day and me spread out on the couch watching my favorite shows and eating my favorite snacks...what a life that would be!
When Garrett picked me up from work today I was able to talk him into letting me get it. We haven't put it out on the floor yet, so I have to wait until I go into work on Thursday to get it. The nice thing is that I also get a 20% discount...so it's all good! (as Herman Ivey would say)
:)
I will update you on how the foot lotion works for me and if my dream of Garrett massaging my feet while I watch T.V. ever ends up happening! haha. Goodnight everyone and talk to you soon!

Never Finish...

According to my wonderful father-in-law (who I will show this when he returns from Africa) I never can finish all the food on my plate. Every time we go out he comments on how I can't finish it. Well, that is not true! I have finished all the food on my plate before. But resturaunts give you such big portions sometimes it is very hard to eat it all. Plus, I like being able to take some of it home to have for a snack later.
Well, Garrett and me went to dinner at Chilis (my favorite resturaunt) on Friday night. I get one of two things at Chilis...the baby back ribs or the grilled shrimp alfredo. So, I decided on the grilled shrimp alfredo and it was delicious! I was so hungry too. So, I decided that I was going to finish my WHOLE plate just so I could take a picture and show Eliseo when he gets back that I ate all the food on my plate! Well, as you can see from the picture I didn't quite make it. I was SO close, though. I just couldn't force another bite...
:( I only had 8 noodles left!
What a close victory...but not quite. Maybe next time I will be hungry enough to finish it all...

fRiEnDs

I have such good friends. I love them all so much. They encourage me, teach me, support me, and serve the Lord with me. God has truly blessed me with them. Some of my best friends are away right now at college, and that gets really hard sometimes.
Jessica and me have been friends since 5th grade! I can't believe we have been friends for that long...we really haven't changed that much! haha.
Katie and me have been friends since 9th grade. We actually first got to know eachother over a short term missions trip to St. Maries! We found out that we were a lot a like!
Jacque and me just recently became really good friends. She is such an awesome friend and teaches me a lot...and makes me laugh even more! These are just some of my friends. There are stories behind each one of our relationships and they all mean so much to me.
I just wanted to take a little time to reflect on how God has blessed me with friends, and I pray that I can be a blessing to them.

No More

I am sad to say that we are not this cute family you see anymore. :( A few days ago Garrett and me recieved a notice on our door that we had 14 days to get rid of our cat. So, apparently we weren't supposed to have Nehemiah in the apartments. So, my loving mother offered to take him into her home. I am so grateful for her taking him! She already has two cats, a dog, a bunny, a fish, and a hamster...so she is really an animal person!
We took Nemo and all his stuff over to her house tonight after work. I know he will be happier at her house. He will have more room and be able to go outside. Also, my mom is home a lot of the day so he won't be as lonely. It is weird not having him here, though. Even Garrett is missing him! I will miss the bites he gave me every morning and the way he would jump on me as I walked across the room...ok not really. But, I will miss him. At least we will still be able to see him. He only lives 10 minutes away. I just don't feel right without him here...
