Officially

on SUMMER VACATION!
Garrett and I had our last final this morning and now we are completely done for the semester! Woohoo!
Plus, it is like 90 degrees outside and beautifuly sunny. I can't remember the last time I saw the sun here in Portland. haha. We have been having loads of fun playing in the hot weather. Yesterday we rode our bikes to the park, played frisbee, and watched a jr. league softball game at the park. We had a blast!
Ah, I love summer. :)

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

I want to wish a very happy mother's day to all of you wonderful, loving mothers out there that I have known and watched and hope to be like one day when I am a mom.

I especially want to wish my mom, Shannon, a very wonderful mother's day. I wish I were there with you, but I know you will have a great day. I love and appreciate you more than you know. I wouldn't be the woman I am today without you. You mean so much to me. Thank you and I love you.

Almost Here!

Summer time!

I can not wait! Garrett and I finished our last "real" week of school today. We just have a couple of finals next week and that is it! Yay! I am SO ready for the summer: the warmer weather, the free time, the vacations, and the no homework! haha. Oh, what a time. :)

Ah, the GOOD Ol' Days...

of "Spice Girl" shoes! haha.

Found these in my closet when clearing stuff out. I actually wore these in 5th grade! I absolutely loved the Spice Girls, and I was pretty cool for having these back then. haha. So, of course I tried them on and they still fit! What good times! :)

A Visit from a Boisean!

My husband's friend, Phil, came up from Boise to spend a weekend with us. We had a great time. On Friday Garrett, Phil, and a guy from our church went to a Christian "hard core" concert... they said it was amazing! I prefered to stay home from that. haha.

Then on Saturday we took Phil to the Saturday Market here in Portland. They have a bunch of unique stands as you can see in the pictures. This was creative utensil art!

Then that night we went to a Jazz resturaunt/club. The music was amazing and the food was very tasty and fancy! We had a table right up front and center! We were all in awe of how awesome it was!

Then on Sunday we went to see the new documentary by Ben Stein, "Expelled." It was really good.

Then Phil attended a couple of our classes at Multnomah. Then it was time to say goodbye. So, we had a really fun and easy going weekend with a friend from back home. Oh, home. I miss it. :)

New Things for Spring

I am so excited for my new center piece for my dining room table! It just brightens up the entire room and makes me so much more ready for Spring! It is a little glass pitcher that my mom and I found @ IKEA for only like $2.50 (thanks for getting it for me, mom). Then I just bought some fake flowers at Walmart for only $3.00...the funny thing is that the bouquet wasn't originally all yellow and orange, but I decided to custom make my own...I mean I am paying for it, so I only want to buy the colors that I want! haha. Anyways, it turned out great:

Here is Garrett with his new yo-yo that he got while we were at the coast. He used to be really good at it, so he tells me, so he is starting yo-yoing again. Look at that smile on his face, the yo-yo makes him so happy!

SpRiNg BrEaK 2008!

We had a wonderful 5 days with my mom and brothers over spring break!

Tuesday: They arrived about 4:30 PM. We spent most of this day searching for my mom's one and only car key...that is right it got lost about half an hour after they got here.

Wednesday: We went shopping, and Trenton bought an awesome remote control helicopter... Along with the helicopter was a lot of drama and a really long story, but eventually it all worked out and now it is a really fun toy. My mom and I took some girl only time and went to IKEA. We found some really great deals and now my mom is in love with it as much as I am! We spent the rest of the night watching Ratitoulle. Late that night found mom's key....praise God!

Thursday: We went to the coast, Seaside to be exact. The drive over was quite interesting. There was sunshine, rain, snow, and hail all during the 2 hour drive to Seaside! We made it safely, though, and ate lunch at Norma's Seafood. Then we spent time going through all the little shops and then looking for shells on the beach. The ocean was so crazy looking...it was all brown! Yuck! We found out later that the brown were millions of little plankton...gross!

Friday: Lazy day of watching movies, playing Catch Phrase, and some more shopping. We also went to the driving range to hit some golf balls. Everyone did really well!

Saturday: We went to the Saturday Market in downtown Portland. The family liked it and they all found something they liked! Matt spent most of his money on these Louisiana spices...yummy!

They left this morning and I miss them already! But I am grateful for the time we had together. It made for a great Spring Break!
