When I Grow Up I Want to Be...??

I have been trying to figure things out lately...what do I want to do with my life? What do I want to be? It is so hard to decide what I want to do for the rest of my life. The only thing that I am positive that I want to do is be a mother. I can't wait to be a mom...But until that time comes I need to DO something! haha. I envy those who know what they want to "be when they grow up" since they were 6 years old and end up being that!

When I was little I went from wanting to be a model/actress to a lawyer to a writer to a photographer to a women's ministry director to now I don't know...haha. I want to be all these things, why do I have to chose just one??

I am applying to BSU for the spring semester. So, maybe I will figure out what direction to take my life soon. :)

TRIP to COLORADO

Garrett and I went to Kiowa, CO with my dad and fam to visit half of my family that lives there. It is usually at least a year between the times that we get to see them. We stayed with my grandparents and had such a great time. Garrett hadn't even met my uncles, aunts, and cousins over there before. So, I am glad that he was at least able to meet them. Kiowa is an hour east of Denver. We drove into Denver a couple times to go to a Colorado Rockies game, the Denver Aquarium, and to Elitch Gardens(an amusement park). We had such a wonderful time getting away and spending time with family. We were able to be there for a full week, and that was the perfect amount of time. Here are some pictures from the trip...we didn't actually take that many because we were doing so much we didn't carry our camera around everywhere, but this is what we got:

Garrett and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary a couple weeks ago... August 20th. I can't believe it has been two years already and we have been romantically together for 4 years now. Seems like an ity bity amount of time when you consider we will be with each other the rest of our lives! haha. :)

We had a great day celebrating; we had a picnic lunch at Julia Davis Park, walked through the Rose Garden, and then went on the paddle boats and fed the ducks. We then went downtown to just walk around and enjoy the warm...more like hot...day by getting some Cold Stone icecream. Then for dinner we went to the Melting Pot, a great fondue place. It was so much fun that we ended up staying there for almost two hours! Time flies when you are eating fondue! haha. Anyways, it was so much fun just taking a care-free day to enjoy eachother and to celebrate our love.

Things Going On...

Garrett and I have a new, little edition to our family. His name is Jack and he is so sweet and cuddly and playful. He brings so much joy to us...

We also celebrated my little brother's 11th birthday! We had a good time going swimming in a private hot springs in Horse Shoe Bend. Then we went to grandma's house for dinner, cake, and ice cream. I think Trent had a great birthday.

After that, I spent a week in McCall being a counselor at our church's high school camp. It was an amazing time full of God's spirit moving. It was much too powerful and moving to be able to describe on just one blog post. :)

Now Garrett and I are trying to find jobs and a place to live once his parents get back from their vacation (we are house sitting for them right now.) Which is a little difficult since I have been very sick since I got back from camp...that is what you get when you don't sleep for 5 days and hang around teenagers nonstop! haha.

Things are going good and can't wait to update you once we are moved into our own place and have jobs!! :) 'Till then...

We are home, we are home, we are home! In Boise, that is. Garrett and I have had so many changes happening the last 3 weeks. All of the plans we had changed.
As much as we have loved Multnomah (now) University, we both felt like we weren't supposed to go back. These feelings started about the same time for both of us...3 weeks ago. And after praying and thinking we felt led in a totally new direction! So, with in the last 3 weeks we have:
*Dis-enrolled from Multnomah *Quit our jobs in Oregon *Called Married Housing on campus and told them we wouldn't be moving in in August *Garrett decided to go into interior design and applied to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online *Garrett was accepted, enrolled, signed up for classes that start July 14th, and applied for and got financial aid *we packed up our stuff *arranged for a stressful trip of my mom bringing a truck up to us so that we could save money and pull a UHaul trailer instead of driving a UHaul truck *Changed our address *arranged for some jobs in Boise *arranged to stay at the Sanchez casa while they are away *and then did the actual move here back to Boise!
Oh my goodnes, it has been a hectic 3 weeks, but exciting. We feel like we are following God's leading in our life and are excited to see what God will do! So, for all of you in Boise we will see you soon! :)

Things

It has been SO long since I have last written! The latest thing that has happened is my little brother graduating from high school. I can't believe it! Garrett and I were able to come back to Boise to see the graduation. It was a really exciting time. It was great to be able to spend some time with family and a few friends. Wish we could have stayed longer...like the entire summer! haha. We are leaving for Boise again this week for the Sanchez family reunion. I am sure it will be a fun time...it's my first one! Hope you all are having a great summer and are finally enjoying this nice weather!

Frisbee & Fun

On our first "real" day of summer we spent some time at the park for the third night in a row. :) We played frisbee and watched another baseball game. I got some shots this time, though:
